mîrus Consulting Group is a local company based in Humacao, Puerto Rico that provides computer system validation and information technology consulting services to pharmaceutical companies and other organizations across the Island and parts of the United States. Its services include the assessment and validation of automation equipment, network infrastructures and business processes, as well as the project management involved.

Position Summary
The Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and equipment reliability oversight for manufacturing systems and equipment. This role focuses on maintenance strategy development, equipment performance optimization, reliability improvements, compliance support, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as equipment owner within the CMMS system, including work order approval and closure, preventive maintenance strategy management, and spare parts identification, accuracy, and updates.
  • Perform reliability assessments, change control evaluations, and technical reviews to support manufacturing equipment lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies for manufacturing equipment.
  • Drive equipment reliability initiatives focused on maximizing equipment availability, reducing downtime, and optimizing maintenance activities.
  • Develop, analyze, and monitor equipment performance metrics, including availability, downtime, maintenance effectiveness, and reliability indicators.
  • Identify and lead equipment improvement opportunities and capital or continuous improvement projects to enhance operational performance.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned systems, providing technical guidance regarding equipment design, maintenance practices, and compliance-related activities.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact during audits, inspections, and compliance operations involving assigned systems and equipment.
  • Support equipment troubleshooting activities and provide technical expertise to resolve equipment-related issues and improve system performance.
  • Support deviation investigations and define, implement, and own corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) related to equipment within the area of responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, quality, and company requirements related to equipment and manufacturing operations.
  • Promote and drive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance, ensuring adherence to safety standards and fostering a culture of safe operations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Engineering; OR
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and two (2) years of engineering experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment, maintenance systems, and reliability engineering principles.
  • Experience supporting equipment troubleshooting, change control, deviations, and CAPA processes within a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.
