mîrus Consulting Group is a local company based in Humacao, Puerto Rico that provides computer system validation and information technology consulting services to pharmaceutical companies and other organizations across the Island and parts of the United States. Its services include the assessment and validation of automation equipment, network infrastructures and business processes, as well as the project management involved.

Position Summary
The Senior Engineer is responsible for providing the characterization of process optimization strategies and/or troubleshooting of operational issues in the operations, manufacturing, pilot plant or capital projects environment. This role requires strong expertise in equipment characterization, validation processes, and inspection systems, with a particular focus on packaging operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute equipment characterization and validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) in compliance with applicable standards and procedures.
  • Provide technical expertise in vision systems and inspection system analysis, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Support and improve packaging processes, with emphasis on efficiency, quality, and compliance.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex engineering issues impacting production or system performance.
  • Develop technical solutions to complex problems requiring the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Manufacturing, and Maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including protocols, reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards.
  • Participate in risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure process robustness.
  • Support new product introductions, equipment upgrades, and technology transfers as needed.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Engineering OR
  • Master’s degree in Engineering + minimum 2 years of engineering experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering + minimum 4 years of engineering experience
Work Schedule
  • 8-hour administrative shift
  • Overtime may be required based on business needs
