Senior Planner Scheduler

mirus Consulting Group is a local company based in Humacao, Puerto Rico that provides computer system validation and information technology consulting services to pharmaceutical companies and other organizations across the Island and parts of the United States. Its services include the assessment and validation of automation equipment, network infrastructures and business processes, as well as the involved project management.

Position Objective

The Planner Scheduler will be responsible for analyzing, consolidating, and reporting the supply plan to management, stakeholders, and customers. This role ensures alignment of product-specific demand requirements with supply constraints, while maintaining effective communication and collaboration across departments. The Planner Scheduler will also play a key role in driving operational excellence, supporting process improvements, and mentoring peers within the Production Planning and Inventory Control (PPIC) organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze, consolidate, and report supply plans to management, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Develop multiple planning scenarios to optimize supply plans considering product demand, raw material availability, capacity, and non-commercial activities.
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and efficiency.
  • Use credibility, planning expertise, and business acumen to influence the planning process.
  • Track and analyze monthly performance metrics and prepare reports to improve output quality and efficiency.
  • Manage product or material release expedites to prevent shortages, leveraging intra- and inter-departmental communication.
  • Represent PPIC in product development and operations teams to ensure manufacturability, efficient production methods, and plant efficacy.
  • Provide training on planning processes, functions, and procedures for intra- and inter-departmental staff.
  • Support education and communication on product decision-making processes to improve collaboration between PPIC and related departments.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives by understanding how PPIC integrates within the overall Amgen/Logistics business model.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to other Planners to increase efficiency and departmental effectiveness.
  • Represent PPIC in cross-functional projects and teams as assigned by management.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Spanish.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.

Preferred
  • Knowledge and/or experience in supply chain areas.
  • Advanced skills in spreadsheets, production scheduling, and capacity planning.
  • Computer modeling and scenario analysis capabilities.
  • ERP knowledge and/or experience with SAP, Kinaxis Rapid Response, or similar planning systems.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
  • Strong operational excellence and continuous improvement mindset.
